Alma Viva
Shops
Almaviva – name inspired by the Count Almaviva, a character of the Opera The Marriage of Figaro, by Mozart.
Settled in 1997, the Almaviva keeps on being one of the cities’ iconic shops, with clients coming from outside Porto, just to visit it.
It specialized in natural and recycled products, and above all it has a special taste for revival articles such as tin foil and wooden toys, which stand out to the eyes of those visiting the store. Another characteristic of this shop that delights those who still have reminiscences about it, are the gift packages made out of “papel riscado”, an old sort of paper which was used in bygone times, to buy rice in grocery stores.
Come and pay us a visit, it will be worthwhile!
