Casa de Saúde da Boavista
Hospitals, health centres and clinics
Opened in 1934, it is a private health institution, founded on Catholic inspirations and public utility.
Throughout its history, it has been subject to major renovations and expansions, the first being the construction of an operating theatre, which was opened in 1940 and was considered, at the time, the best in the Peninsula.
In 1997, supported by the opinion of the Board of the Casa de Saúde and the requirements of the legislation in force, it decided to undertake a major refurbishment and expansion of its facilities.
It offers in-patient services, operating theatre, recovery unit, intensive care unit for multipurpose care, obstetrics service, incubator and numerous medical specialties, as well as nursing services, and clinical analysis service.
