Hospital de São João

It is the largest hospital in the North part of the country and the second largest in the country. It is a teaching hospital linked to the Faculty of Medicine of Porto, which exists in the same building. It also has a variety of supplementary diagnostic and therapeutic means as support in the provision of care and various medical and surgical specialties.
It provides assistance to a population of about 3 million people.
