Weather and language

Bem-vindo/ Welcome to the much-loved Mediterranean weather, which keeps Porto in a perfect balance between hot and cold, dry and wet, sunny and overcast. If you visit during the Autumn, Winter or Spring, prepare for eventual rain. During the Summer months, pack light clothes, a hat and a sun protector, but rest assured, the heat is not excruciating.

Transport and accommodation

With an airport close to the city centre, a well-supplied network of public transport, including the metro, and a taxi always nearby, it is quite straightforward to go from A to B in Porto.
