The Rivoli Cinema Hostel was Portugal’s first hostel with a cinema theme.
The decoration of each of its 14 rooms was inspired by a different film. When you check in, you will choose the type of room you want (individual, double, triple or quadruple) and possibly your favourite film as well.
There are 6 bathrooms with 8 shared showers; a fully equipped kitchen, where breakfast is served and where you are free to prepare your meals; a living-room, where you can relax, watch
films, read, play, make free use of the computers with internet access or socialise with other guests. There is also a terrace, which is perfect for sunbathing, parties. BBQ and getting together. Wi-Fi, maps, tourist information and guides are all provided free of charge.
You can find us at Rua Doutor Magalhães Lemos, no. 83, in Porto’s historic centre, right next to Avenida dos Aliados, from where you can take in the architecture, stroll around and visit the city’s monuments and museums. There are restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, shops and shopping centres nearby, and tourist offices, too.
The metro, train, bus, tram and taxi are all just around the corner, which makes it a great base for visiting all the main monuments and museums in the city. If you want some night-time fun, there are discos, bars and cafés galore a short 3-minute walk away. If you like musicals, just cross the street and go into the Rivoli Theatre, home to the world’s most fantastical film festival - Fantasporto, which is on every February.
