Rogério do Redondo
Restaurants
A renowned restaurant in the city of Porto since the 1980s. Rogério do Redondo maintains the same type of traditional Portuguese and Porto cuisine, with genuine products from the land and sea (tripe, Portuguese stew, rojões, cabidela rooster, tail of ox, hake fillets with bean rice and greens, john dory with fish roe panada, etc.), keeping the same cook of old times and the essence of the space. Rogério do Redondo's menu is mainly seasonal and varies depending on what the market has, maintaining the same "quality and kind" service to embrace loyal customers and reach a new, younger clientele. The space underwent remodelling and decoration works, favouring comfort and giving special focus to acoustics.
The kitchen, equipped with a powerful Josper oven to serve the best matured meats, has been expanded and improved significantly. Usually, there is only a dish of the day: Facho-style codfish on Mondays, pig trotters with red beans on Tuesdays, tripe on Thursdays, codfish fritter with cod rice and fried eggs or Portuguese stew on Fridays, and tripe and Goat kid on Saturdays.
