Lara Martins was one of the main stars of the musical “The Phantom of the Opera”, in the legendary West End of London, the city where she developed her musical education. With a very comprehensive repertoire, she has earned rave reviews and numerous awards. In this recital, she presents her debut solo album, “Canção”, panning through both sides of the Atlantic Ocean sifting by the rhythms of tango, fado, Brazilian music and contemporary classical-jazzy songs by pianist and composer Daniel Bernardes. Paying homage to Iberian-American musical culture, Lara Martins establishes a dialogue between the classical and popular influences over the last 100 years.
