Responsible for some of the most upbeat music of “sertanejo universitário”, Jorge & Mateus, from the city of Itumbiara, from the state of Goiás, gained worldwide recognition and, today, are considered one of the main duos in Brazil. They met through a mutual friend in 2005. Jorge, a law student and Mateus, who was studying Agronomy at the time, performed at parties and music festivals. That same year they had the opportunity to sing together at a barbecue and that's how the story of Jorge & Mateus began. Since then, it's been 14 years of history. Audience record holders, the duo have drawn crowds on their tours, playing an average of 200 gigs a year. In addition to being the most followed Brazilians on Spotify, the artists' songs have been played in 61 countries by more than 10 million fans, for more than 21 million hours.
Now Jorge & Mateus arrive in Lusitanian lands for an exclusive tour in Portugal, performing in Porto, on September 30th, at 9 pm, to sing the greatest hits of their career.
