indignu [lat.]
Event
The indignu [lat.] collective has been around for over a decade, unable to escape the post-rock label, their sound shies away from the stereotypes usually associated with the genre and from mainstream alternative rock. Their instrumental sound may covertly relate to post-grunge and the acoustic moments, worshiping the simple and natural, offer the listener some relief and eclecticism. Contrasting emotional melodies and distortions are the band's main characteristic. Their very own approach to cathartic crescendos presents an extremely foul and bold sound. They have released four albums: "Fetus In Fetu", the acclaimed "Odyssea", "Ophelia" and the latest "Umbra" which is saturated with what Portugal experienced and felt during the 2017 wildfires. They have performed on most Portuguese stages and at one of the largest festivals in the world of its kind, dunk!Fest in Belgium and more recently in 2019 the VIVID Festival in Norway. Among other Portuguese artists, they worked with Ana Deus, Valter Hugo Mãe and Manel Cruz. They draw inspiration from the Portuguese-speaking countries’ culture, the sea and the land.
