Miséria
Event
This show is based on a folk tale.
Miséria (Misery) is a poor blacksmith who deceives Death and is thus condemned to live forever.
“And then Death from the top of the walnut tree spoke and made an agreement with the old man: to spare his life while the world existed.
The old man agreed, and Death came down from the walnut tree. Therefore, there will be Misery in the world as long as the Earth exists.”
(folk tale)
“What is amazing about this show is the game between what belongs to the puppets and what belongs to the actor himself, at the same time manipulator and interpreter…
The perfection of things, Cesário Verde would say. There is not much to say about a show like this one.
A masterpiece in the puppet theatre genre, a masterpiece of theatre.”
