The city of Porto is again among the elite of the leading European destinations when it is included again in the shortlist of finalists for the World Travel Awards, in the Europe’s Leading City Break Destination category. Voting takes place online until July 14th.
Also known as the Oscars of tourism, the World Travel Awards celebrate its 28th edition this year and Porto remains on the list of destinations. From this moment on, professionals in the area, media and all the consumers can vote to recognise the city again as the leading city break in Europe. Just like it did last year.
Competing for Europe’s Leading City Break Destination are the cities of Amsterdam, Athens, Belfast, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin, Geneva, Lisbon, London, Moscow, Paris, Rome, Saint Petersburg and Venice.
In another category, the Porto & North of Portugal region is competing for Europe’s Leading Heritage Destination award.
World Travel Awards includes the entire spectrum of the travel and tourism industry, from hotels, resorts and destinations to airlines and tour operators around the world and are recognised globally as the brand of excellence.
