The city of Porto is in the running for the award for Europe’s Leading City Break Destination. The voting on the so-called "Oscars" of Tourism ends today.
The pandemic has changed the organiser’s plans of the World Travel Awards, but the 27th edition award ceremony is still going to be held and is scheduled for October 20th. And Porto may well celebrate an achievement: the Invicta city is nominated in the category of Europe’s Leading City Break Destination.

Voting ends this Thursday and is available here.
In addition to this nomination for the city of Porto, the regional entity Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal is also in the running for an award - in this case, in the category of Europe’s Leading Heritage Destination.
Also nominated in this category are: Barcelona (Spain), Edinburgh (Scotland), Florence (Italy), London (England), Moscow (Russia), Paris (France), Rome (Italy), Saint Petersburg (Russia), Venice (Italy) and Vienna (Austria). Those interested in voting can do so here.
