Aquário beach, between Homem do Leme beach and Castelo do Queijo beach, next to Avenida de Montevideo, is the most recent one.

There is one more Blue Flag beach to go swimming this summer. Aquário beach, which lies between Homem do Leme Beach and Castelo do Queijo Beach, next to Avenida de Montevideo, is one of the ten beaches along the three kilometres of the city’s beaches.

The award-winning beach, which is now open to the public, is now joined by Foz beach, Gondarém Beach and Homem do Leme beach, which also received this accolade. For its attribution, criteria such as environmental education and information are taken into account; water quality; environmental management; and safety and services.

A little further north, in Matosinhos, the beaches of Agudela, Angeiras Norte and Angeiras Sul, Aterro, Cabo do Mundo, Funtão and Fuzelhas, Leça da Palmeira and Memória also have the Blue Flag and are highly recommendable.
