Air carriers are confident in the resumption of the sector which is starting to take off. After the announcement of the resumption of the Istanbul-Porto route by Turkish Airlines, this time it is the Irish Ryanair announcing some novelties: as of March 28th, there will be another 10,000 seats available for trips between Porto and Germany. In summer, a new Porto – Bremen route arrives.
Due to the increased demand for flights for Easter, the low-cost carrier announced the capacity increase during the Easter period. In a statement, Ryanair says that travellers “can now book their Easter holidays on additional flights, available on four routes to / from Porto, between 28 March and mid-April. Several of these routes will continue to be available for the rest of the summer, with flights available for reservation until March 2022”.
There will be, in total, four weekly flights on the Berlin – Porto, Frankfurt International – Porto, and Memmingen – Porto routes, which twice as much as the current ones. At the same time, the route between Cologne and the Invicta city happens twice a week.
The announcement comes “following the easing of travel restrictions in Germany”, says Ryanair's commercial director, Jason McGuiness, taking the opportunity to confirm, also, the launch of a new route. Starting July, the low-cost airline will operate the Porto – Bremen route twice a week.
