Conferência Kleist: o(s) sentido(s) da justiça

At the end of O Duelo, we open a space for reflection on the power of this novel by Kleist, written in 1811, to enlighten contemporary life. What does a story, set at the end of the 14th century, in which God's arbitration is called in a duel as a way to reach the truth, send us and how do we receive it? Between law and love, chance and calculation, reason and the invisible, human justice and poetic justice, everything in this work is thrown into the folds of life and its particular duels. In order for us to think about it and expand its lessons, at the conference Kleist: o(s) sentido(s) da justiça we will bring together the philosopher Maria Filomena Molder, who translated and now adapted this text for the Carlos Pimenta’s staging, and the professors and essayists José Bragança de Miranda and José Gomes Pinto.
