The 19th edition of Essência do Vinho has already a date set: from 23 to 26 February 2023, with a novelty, the premiere of “Wine & Travel Week”, the first international wine tourism fair.

In 2023, Palácio da Bolsa will once again host the 19^th edition of Essência do Vinho. In addition to showcasing the best wines produced in Portugal, the event will also include, next year, the first edition of an international wine tourism fair. It is an opportunity to welcome to Porto representatives of the world’s main wine tourism destinations and an international entourage of buyers.

“In 2023, we will hold the first international wine tourism fair in Portugal, from 16 to 23 February. Wine & Travel Week will bring dozens of international operators and buyers to the city, specialising in tourism associated with terroirs and wine experiences” said Nuno Guedes, founder of Essência do Vinho, in a statement, adding: “It will be a professional and business fair, which will also promote the sharing of knowledge about an activity sector with a fast growth in the world, through a forum with journalists, experts and opinion leaders, and a programme of experiences that includes itineraries and technical visits to various regions of the country”.

To sum it up, the organiser reveals that the 18^th edition, which took place from 31 March to 3 April, attracted even more interested parties. According to the visitor profile, analysed by ISAG - European Business School and by CICET-FCVC, the attendance of people from several nationalities was registered, namely, English, Spanish, Brazilian, French and German, among others, stressing the international scale of the event.
