The Invicta city is, once again, on the big screen and, this time, in a mega production, through the lens of the giant Warner Bros. The sequel to “Suicide Squad” features a character originally from Porto and it is with the city as a backdrop that “Cleo Cazo”, or “Ratcatcher 2”, talks about the teachings she received from her father.

This is the story of a group of criminals who are recruited by the US government to defeat a mysterious entity. In the sequel directed by James Gunn, who also directed “Guardians of the Galaxy”, DC Comics' supervillains are sent to the island of Corto Maltese with a mission to destroy Colonel Rick Flag.

Among the villains is the character played by the Portuguese Daniela Melchior, who makes her debut in a Hollywood production, after staring in Portuguese television and cinema.

Cleo Cazo's superpower is to control the rats, a feat that, as the character explains in the film, she learned “on the streets of Porto” from her father, a drug addict genius who creates the technology that his daughter will later on use. It is at this moment that the image of the Douro River shot from one of the bridges appears on the screen. Invicta appears again, towards the end of the film, when Daniela Melchior's character recalls the teachings of her father, Ratcatcher 1.

The cast of “The Suicide Squad” includes actors such as Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis and Alice Braga, and the character Cleo Cazo/Ratcatcher 2 was purposely created by James Gunn for this film, which is a sequel to "Suicide Squad" directed by David Ayer, in 2016.
