Scheduled for September 10th and 11th, the Portuguese final round of the breaking competition will select the best B-boys and B-girls for Poland's world final in November.

Silo-Auto Parking , in the heart of the city of Porto, will host the Portuguese round of the Red Bull BC One, one of the most recognised international breaking competitions. The first stage of the competition, on September 10th, is a qualifier round behind closed doors, which aims to showcase the best talent and to select the best B-boys (8 wildcards and 8 selected) and B-girls (1 wildcard and 3 selected).

Only these will pass to the Portuguese final, which takes place the following day, September 11th. At different hours, the quality, creativity and dynamics of the athletes will be evaluated by a jury of three elements with credits established in the sport internationally.

From Porto, the Portuguese representatives will depart for the Red Bull BC One world final, which will take place in the Polish city of Gdansk, on November 5th and 6th.

It is the return of the competition to Europe, after having visited the five continents in the last years, from Tokyo to New York, passing through Rio de Janeiro and Paris.

National and international showcase

Red Bull BC One has been, for the last 20 years, the great international stage of a sport that is growing. Breaking, one of the various forms of expression of urban dance, is a cultural movement that started in the 1980s on the streets of New York and that quickly expanded throughout the world.

The biggest and most prestigious one-on-one breaking competition in the world has over the years showcased leading artists from the Portuguese scene, such as b-boys Bruce Almighty and Lagaet, and b-girl Vanessa taking the colours of the country far and wide.

In the 2020 world final, the boy's title went to B-Boy Shigekix (Japan) – the youngest ever to win the competition – while in girl's B-Girl Kastet (Russia) won again the title which she had won in 2019, in India.
