The 7th edition of Porto/Post/Doc returns to the halls of the city of Porto, between the 20th and 29th of November, in a face-to-face and online registration. Under the theme "The City of the After", the programme includes a cycle of talks and works by Pedro Costa, António Campos, Chris Marker, among others.

The Rivoli . Municipal Theatre will once again be the main stage of the Porto film festival dedicated to fiction and documentary, which will also take place at Passos Manuel Cinema , in the Porto Planetarium - Living Science Centre and, in parallel, given the current situation, in an online format that will make available a large part of the film selection.

In a look at the transformations in the cinematographic representation of cities over the last century, this year the festival focuses on the agitation of the avant-garde in the crazy 1920s, until the paused contemporary cinema.

This will be the motto that will feed the discussion of the "Fórum do Real" cycle, which will include the participation of Boaventura de Sousa Santos (sociologist), Paulo Pires do Vale (philosopher), Ana Aragão (architect), Roger Koza (film critic), Pascale Cassagnau (art historian) and Maria João Madeira (programmer). For the first time, and in response to the new times we are living in, the conversations will be held in a mixed format, with online and face-to-face participation.

In addition to the debate, the festival also presents a restricted programme of films inspired by the cinematographic representation of cities over the last 100 years and which includes, among others: "A Invenção do Amor" (1965), by António Campos; "Juventude em Marcha" (2006), by Pedro Costa; "Killer of Sheep" (1978), by Charles Burnett; "La Jetée" (1962), by Chris Marker; "Millennium Mambo" (2001), by Hou Hsiao-Hsien; and "The Exiles" (1961), by Kent Mackenzie.

As in previous editions, the film contest also includes the usual International and New Cinema competitions, which aim to reveal hidden faces of contemporary cinema, the presentation of a section for the connection between the seventh art and music, and another where the theme will be films spoken in Portuguese.

The complete programme of the festival can be consulted on the official website.
