Condé Nast Traveller readers chose the city of Porto in fourth place in the top 10 of the friendliest cities in Europe.

Porto is the Portuguese city best positioned in this international ranking, carried out by the North American publication, which surveyed its European readers. In fifth place, appears Lisbon on the list.

The voting considers the kindness of the inhabitants of each city, as well as "the most smiling and welcoming people", says the travel magazine.

In fact, this is not the first time that the Invicta city appears in this top 10. In 2017, alongside Évora, it made it on the shortlist of Condé Nast Traveller. And, more recently, the charms of Porto were recognised, in another survey, regarding the preferences of international metropolises, where it holds an honourable 7th place.

According to the final results to the question "which is the friendliest city on the European continent?", 2020 replies Galway, Ireland. In second place was Dublin, also in Ireland, and in third place was Valletta, Malta.

The city of Porto is in 4th place, followed by Lisbon (5th), Bologna, Italy (6th), Edinburgh, Scotland (7th), Reykjavik, Iceland (8th) ), Athens, Greece (9th), and Helsinki, Finland (10th place).
