It was unanimously approved to include the Estofos Carla establishment in the protection index of the Porto de Tradição municipal programme.

After the public consultation on the admission of Estofos Carla to the Porto de Tradição municipal programme, the Executive gave the green light to the establishment's entry into the protection list. This is the first inclusion of 2021, which increases the establishments associated with the municipal programme to 91. To these are added four other businesses.

The establishment of Rua do Passeio Alegre becomes part of the Porto de Tradição’s list, thus being acknowledged as an establishment of local, historical and cultural or social interest.

Estofos Carla is an upholstery and furniture restoration workshop created in 1975 by Albino Mota, after a professional training in this field, carried out in Italy, thanks to the Italian Consulate in Porto.

In a space on Rua do Passeio Alegre, he created the upholstery and restoration workshop that he called Estofos Carla, in honour of the daughter who had meanwhile been born. The workshop remains in the same place, with the same activity, and now joins the city's protected establishments.

The Porto de Tradição programme is part of the priority given by the Municipality to the protection of establishments and businesses of historical and cultural or social interest in the city of Porto.
