Because the experience at Dragão Stadium is not just in blue and white, Futebol Clube do Porto is implementing the ColorADD code system on various mediums so that anyone who does not distinguish colours does not feel limited in going to the stadium on match day. It is the first stadium in the world to work on inclusion by colour.

ColorADD is a colour identification system for the colour blind, a universal language that represents the three primary colours - blue, yellow and red - through graphic symbols. Based on the concept of “Addition of Colour” the symbols can relate to each other and the entire colour palette can be graphically identified.

“Inclusion by colour is another important aspect of the sustainability work carried out”, says the club, strengthening a solution that, by being innovative, will be yet another response to “audience comfort and safety at Estádio do Dragão”, aligned with the 2030 agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.

"This system comes to help everyone who has difficulty in distinguishing or identifying colours and may feel limited in going to the stadium, strengthening the club's commitment to making its infrastructures inclusive," the statement said.

The implementation of this system will be a continuous process, “whenever colour is a reason for distinction”, says Teresa Sousa, responsible for FC Porto's Sustainability area. In this first phase, the ColorADD code is applied in the car parks and also in the training vests of the main teams.

Present in more than 90 countries, in different sectors of activity, the ColorADD code system was created in 2010 by Miguel Neiva, from Porto. It has been implemented in the municipal car park of Trindade since 2015.
