Ólafur Arnalds
Event
Ólafur Arnalds returns to Portugal to present “Some Kind of Peace”, an album that translates a new attitude towards life. In interviews, the musician talks about his almost overpowering need to control everything around him and how the global crisis of the last two years has shown us that there are things we have absolutely no control over. Realizing this, he decided to change his attitude and the new album reflects this transformation: “It's so personal that I'm still trying to find the words to talk about it (…) I felt it was important that the album would tell my story in a very honest way. This album is much closer to my heart than any of the others.” Which is saying a lot for anyone who has already collaborated with fellow countrymen Sigur Rós and the equally acclaimed Nils Frahm, worked on Chopin’s music or given soul to a mechanical piano in the acclaimed re:member.
