Big Bears Cry Too
Event
The shows at the 32nd edition of the Porto International Puppet Festival (FIMP) rethink the art of puppetry and question our role in the world. In “Big Bears Cry Too”, Belgian artist Miet Warlop's first creation for children, the stage is a playground for creature-objects in search of their individuality: an impatient and somewhat dysfunctional plastic heart, a giant pill that fails to provide the expected effects, and a teddy bear who falls victim to his own cuteness. Laughter and tears punctuate a strange universe that lays bare our vulnerability.
