Realidades Paralelas
Event
The questions about the mediatised character of our society mark this concert, right from the start with a work by Igor C. Silva who struggles with how television can affect the perception of reality. This theme is also recurrent in Goebbels’ work: inspired by a novel by Alain Robbe-Grillet, La Jalousie makes a sound reconstruction of the repressed jealousy of the main character who spies on his companion through a shutter – the story is narrated by Tiago Matos, one of the Portuguese singers with the greatest international recognition today. There will be plenty of humour, madness, and virtuosity as in the famous John Adams’ Chamber Symphony, that even recreates the crazy pursuits of the Road Runner cartoon, as in the score by Bernd Richard Deutsch, inspired by the visions and dystopias of science fiction books by Phillip K. Dick.
