Back to the Stage
Event
The return of concerts with an audience to the Sala Suggia is celebrated with brilliant music. The cellist Pavel Gomziakov performs the concert of Édouard Lalo, French composer famous for the musical exploration of his Spanish ancestry - not by chance, this was one of the favourite concerts of the famous Pablo Casals. Malcolm Arnold also let himself be influenced by traditional music, in this case from Scotland, writing four pieces of a very diverse character inspired by folk songs and dances. The evening ends with a joyful suite by Jacques Ibert, based on the stage music he wrote for a farce and with a clearly humorous character.
