Tomás Marques Quarteto is a band formed by the saxophonist that gives it its name, specifically for the Young Musicians Award. Being all students of Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, Tomás gathered these friends for the competition, thus creating a new quartet. Tomás Marques on saxophone, Samuel Gapp on piano, Rodrigo Correia on double bass and Diogo Alexandre on drums have been performing with the biggest names in Portuguese jazz and increasingly solidifying these new names in Jazz in Portugal. With a modern jazz and full of influences, they play Tomás Marques’ compositions.
