Poema Sinfónico
Event
At the age of 18, just before trying his luck in Vienna, Mozart wrote Symphony No. 29, an energetic and luminous work that is probably the most popular of all his youth symphonies. The autograph score presents his proverbial writing that is confident, clean and without hesitation, confirming the famous myth that the composer always envisioned the whole piece in his mind before committing them to paper. Mozart's influence on generations of composers shortly after his death and even today is enormous. One of those composers was Richard Strauss, who idolized him and was a renowned interpreter of his work in his conductor capacity. But Strauss was also the quintessential author of symphonic poems, reaching the highest exponent of refinement in the genre. A Hero's Life represents his own experiences as a man and as an artist.
