Jonathan Ayerst
Event
Jonathan Ayerst was a principal organist at the Church of St. Benet Fink in London and studied historical improvisation techniques in Stuttgart. The improvised moments are always present in his recitals and this will be no exception, starting from a series of Liszt variations. He starts the programme with one of the most compelling pieces for the instrument, Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, and ends with a sweeping piece by Widor, a key name of the French romantic school.
