The music of the world will spread across seven venues in the city in the last week of October.

From 27 to 31 October, Porto will host the first Portuguese edition of WOMEX, an international meeting of the music industry. The expo, to be held at Alfândega do Porto, will be accompanied by conferences, documentaries and around 60 showcase concerts throughout the city. Tickets for these world music shows are finally on sale.

The Colombians Ghetto Kumbé, the Brazilian Mateus Aleluia, the Portuguese-Angolan Pongo, the Spaniard Rodrigo Cuevas, the Egyptian collective Mazaher, the performer from the Congo Lova Lova or the Portuguese O Gajo are some of the many names on the programme (you can listen a playlist on Spotify).

The music will be divided into seven stages: Teatro Rivoli, Teatro Nacional São João, Teatro Sá da Bandeira, Coliseu, Casa da Música, Cinema Passos Manuel and even a tent will be set up in Praça de D. João I.

There are two types of passes for sale: one for 30 euros, which gives access to concerts in Rivoli and São João, and another for 35 euros, corresponding to the remaining spaces.
