The Semi Permanent event, which will take place this year for the first time in the city of Porto, has already announced its first confirmed names. Former Wired magazine editor-in-chief Scott Dadich and LEGO senior design director Rosário Costa are among the guest speakers.

On the day that the first tickets for the event went on sale, which will take place on October 30th and 31st, at Alfândega do Porto, the first confirmed names were also announced. In addition to Scott Dadich and Rosário Costa, the following will also be present: AKQA CEO Ajaz Ahmed; Pentagram partners, Naresh Ramchandani and Harry Pearce; motion designer Karin Fong; and Chef José Avillez.

Under the theme "Restless", the Semi Permanent event, created 18 years ago in Australia, is only possible to take place this year on national soil thanks to the support of Porto City Hall and Turismo de Portugal, also counting on the co-organisation by the agency creative Moon.

Along with the Talks, scheduled for October 30th and 31st, Murray Bell, founder of this global creative platform, which covers areas such as design, music, architecture, writing and technology, had also announced it will feature the exhibition and immersive installation "The Panic Office" by the band Radiohead and also the "Rare" event, led by Tara McKenty, creative director at Google and co-founder of RARE, which will take place between 30 October and 15 November 2020.

Both events will take place over two weeks and access is free.
