In a symbolic action to celebrate the International Day of the Fight against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, Porto City Hall joined Porto Pride and together they raised the colours of the rainbow, the LGBTI symbol, in the General Humberto Delgado Square.


In this International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, Porto marks the occasion with the colours of the rainbow, contributing to raise awareness to the violence, discrimination, and repression of the LGBTQIA+ community all over the world.



From the organization initiative's , Diogo Vieira da Silva exalted the association of the municipality and also mentioned that the presence of the various political forces at the moment is proof of an "open and sincere dialogue about how we can make a city for all and from all".


"We are showing that gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, intersex people, not only those who visit the city, but those who live in Porto, are welcome and are part of the city," he believes.

And so, on this International Day of the Fight against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, Porto wears the colours of the rainbow, contributing to raise awareness about violence, discrimination and repression of LGBTI+ communities around the world.
