The municipal network pools have passed the independent audit of the COVID Safe verification by APCER, in the implementation of measures to control the pandemic, determined by the health and labour authorities.
In order to foster users' confidence in using these sport facilities in the current pandemic context, the municipal swimming pools Piscina Municipal de Cartes and Piscina Municipal da Constituiçãoare already accredited with the COVID Safe.
This accreditation, created by APCER - Associação Portuguesa de Certificação, is attributed to organisations that comply with the guidelines issued by Direção Geral da Saúde (DGS), Autoridade para as Condições de Trabalho (ACT) and International Labour Organization (ILO).
The verification audit "COVID Safe", carried out in early November, included customer service, the teaching of swimming classes and the gym activities of both municipal swimming pools, acknowledging the merit of the measures developed by Ágora - Cultura e Desporto do Porto with regard to the prevention and control of Covid-19.
This acknowledgment by an independent entity increases the confidence of employees and users of the Municipal Swimming Pool Network, showing the commitment and respect of this municipal company for the health and safety of all, particularly in this pandemic period.
Since the first moment, Ágora has been following and adopting all the recommendations of the authorities, both national and international, namely Direção Geral da Saúde (health authority), being equipped with the policies and mechanisms necessary to tackle the presence of Covid-19.
