Moonspell and Paus were announced as two more names to be added to the line-up of the fourth edition of the North Music Festival, which will take place on 22 and 23 May at Alfândega do Porto. The bands from Lisbon go on stage on the first day, which already has the confirmation of the Deftones.

Moonspell, responsible for the hits "Opium", "Alma Mater" or "Extinct", debut on stage with a privileged view overlooking the Douro River in the same year that they release their new album.

Currently consisting of Fernando Ribeiro, Mike Gaspar, Pedro Paixão, Ricardo Amorim and Aires Pereira, the band was formed in 1992 and started to gain popularity three years later with the release of their debut album "Wolfheart". Since then, they released more than a dozen albums and toured around the world, having released in 2017 the album "1755", a reflection on the great earthquake that affected Lisbon that year.

In turn, the band Paus, which already has a decade of existence, launched at the end of last year their latest CD "YESS", the fourth of their discography.

The quartet started their record career in 2010 with the release of their first EP, entitled "É Uma Água". A year later, the group formed by Joaquim Albergaria, Hélio Morais, Makoto Yagyu and Fábio Jevelim launched their fifth LP whose chosen title was the band's own name.

After the success of "Madeira" in 2018, a reference to the island of Madeira - which features the songs "L123" and "Faca Cega" - last year, the band released the EP "LXSP", with the contribution of Kastrup and Maria Beraldo, and also the album "YESS".

Several names have already been revealed for this year's North Music Festival: May 22nd Deftones, Moonspell and Paus; May 23rd The Script, The Waterboys and Sensible Soccers.

The first phase of tickets is limited and is now available on Ticketline.
