It is the first collective opening of the year in the cultural district of Miguel Bombarda. Saturday, January 14th, from 4 pm to 8 pm, there are new exhibitions and a range of activities for the whole family.


Starting at 4 pm, the Miguel Bombarda district will host the first cycle of Simultaneous Art Exhibition Openings of the year. There will be new exhibitions in the contemporary art galleries and new collections in the exhibition, commercial and alternative spaces, accompanied by entertainment and projects to do with the family.


In addition to the new works presented to the public, the programme also includes an illustration workshop “Desenhar com Recortes”, led by Mariana Bento, and a collaborative workshop, “Corta e Cola Existencial”, led by Helena Rocio Janeiro. These activities take place on Rua de Miguel Bombarda, in the pedestrian area that intersects with Rua da Boa Nova, a place that will also host a DJ set by Openbox Associação Cultural. The programme also includes another creative workshop, this one led by the illustrator David Penela, under the motto “Stencil, histórias e carimbos”, in the pedestrian area that intersects with Rua de Cedofeita.


It will also feature the usual guided tours, led by Visual Arts students from ESE-Escola Superior de Educação, divided into two sessions – at 4 pm and 5:30 pm. Those interested can learn about the characteristics and special features of each exhibition, on a guided tour through the participating galleries and spaces.
