While on the district one can see contemporary works of art again, we present on the screens, concerts, a documentary, and a workshop.

Next Saturday, June 27th, 15 galleries in the Bombarda District will open their doors again, with limited access and according to the sanitary rules at the time. The street entertainment produced by Ágora, which usually accompanies Inaugurações Simultâneas (Simultaneous Art Openings), will once again be brought to the public in a format adapted to digital platforms.

Between 4 pm and 6:30 pm, this second edition of Bombarda em Casa will feature an experimental rehearsal made up of a documentary, a workshop and three concerts, curated by Matéria Prima (project by "Bairro das Artes" that celebrates this year its thirtieth birthday). This multimedia narrative, created as a virtual tour from local studios, can be followed on Ágora's Facebook page.

For the 2020 season of the Bombarda Openings, "afternoons to exchange ideas" were planned. The unexpected context in which we are currently living does not allow us to hold these activities on the street, so it moves to the online space, where it is also possible to observe, reflect, learn and build collectively.

The poster image for this June series was by Cristina Regadas, collaborator of Matéria Prima. The visual artist devotes herself to documenting everyday life "decisive moments" in film and photography, without worrying about their relevance or the beauty itself. Her interest lies in error and imperfection, leaving the result to chance. Here, she presents the "artistic-botanical" experiences created in recent months.

Most of the galleries participating in this special edition have been closed in recent months, so many of their exhibitions have been extended. As access will be restricted on Saturday, we recommend that you book your visit by email.
