In the light of the powers conferred on the municipalities by the Council of Ministers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Municipality of Porto has decided to authorise some of the fairs and markets in the city, as it considers that all the safety conditions are in place at this moment.

Thus, the decree signed by the Mayor of Porto determines to authorise the following fairs and markets of municipal initiative: Fair of Biological Products of the City Park, Feira dos Passarinhos, Numismatics, Philately and Collectionism Fair, Antiques Fair, Feira de Artesanato da Batalha, Mercado de Artesanato do Porto, Mercado da Ribeira, Covelo Market and Mercadinho da Ribeira.

The Mercado da Alegria in Passeio Alegre Garden and the Mercado Porto Belo in Praça Carlos Alberto are also authorized from private initiative, and have received a favourable opinion from the Health Authority.

The holding of these fairs and markets may be subject to extension or modification in the light of the evolution of the epidemiological situation, in accordance with the determinations that may be adopted at national level.

It is up to the Municipality to prepare and ensure the implementation of contingency plans, with the respective measures that are appropriate to the spaces, thus safeguarding the measures imposed by the Direção-Geral da Saúde.
