Mozart e Papá Haydn
Event
Key composers of Viennese Classicism, Haydn and Mozart knew how to use their music as a vehicle for the most varied moods, including comedy. In this commented concert, we discover two works that embody the playful spirit of both Austrian geniuses. Haydn has included a piece that resembles the cackling of the hen in the first movement of the symphony “La Poule”. Mozart satirised the love affairs of that time in very entertaining operas, translating matches and mismatches into fascinating orchestral writing. It is with these musical caricatures and a good mood that we set the tone for the “Série Famílias” of Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música.
