Airlines are announcing new routes to and from Porto, starting in 2023, with different destinations. After the Austrian Airlines, it was now the turn of low-cost airlines Ryanair and easyJet to announce new flights for next year, from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport.

Ryanair has announced the opening of a new route, next summer, between Porto and the Irish city of Shannon, with two weekly flights. “With Easter and Summer 2023 fast approaching, we are delighted to bring even more choice and value to our customers in the North of Portugal with the addition of this new Shannon route to our summer schedule,” Dara Brady said in a statement, highlighting the wonders of the Emerald Isle and the central west of Ireland, such as castles full of history or sightseeing cruises on the cliffs and caves of the region.

Ryanair had already recently announced the opening, from April 2023, of another new route, between Porto and Bristol, in the United Kingdom, with three flights per week.

easyJet also announced new routes from Portuguese airports, including a flight from Porto to Glasgow, in Scotland. The new route will start operating from March 31st of next year, with two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays.
