Volta a Portugal has finish line in Porto

​The participants in the 81ª Volta a Portugal Santander will reach the finish line on Avenida dos Aliados scheduled for next Sunday.

The last stage, with a total of 19.5 kilometres, includes the course Canidelo / Santa Marinha / Coimbrões / Avenida da República / Santo Ovídio / Ponte do Infante / Largo de Soares dos Reis / Freixo / Marginal / Túnel da Ribeira / São Bento / Clérigos / Aliados. It will then be an occasion to enjoy the live cyclist show in Porto, which is why safety measures and restrictions for pedestrian and car traffic are prepared.

According to Infomail, the plan which will be implemented gradually at different times and locations from 10 pm on Saturday, there will be some traffic and parking changes, so as to combine the security conditions with those that permit to make the most of the spectacle provided by the last effort of the cyclists and seeing who are the winners.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Porto has various lines and ways of information support, including the “Gabinete do Munícipe’s” Telephone Customer Service 222 090 400 (Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm) and “Balcão de Atendimento Virtual”, together with the On-site Customer Service (Praça do General Humberto Delgado, 266 - Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm).

In addition, two Dedicated Helplines for the Event were created: a phone service (936 780 184 - 5-10 August, 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm and on August 11th between 7 am to 10 pm) and another by e-mail service (voltaaportugal@cm-porto.pt, which runs from 5 to 12 August).
