There is a new route at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport. Porto and Cagliari, capital of Sardinia, are now just over two hours away, thanks to the low-cost airline Ryanair.

After the Irish company set up, last year, a hub at Porto Airport (a point of reference for the airline's stopovers with connection to several destinations), the announcement of new routes has been going smoothly.

Now there is a new approach to Italy, more specifically to the island of Sardinia, with weekly flights connecting Porto to Cagliari every Monday and Thursday.

This approach has aroused the interest of the Tourism of Sardinia, which recently launched in Porto a promotional campaign within the Portuguese market, under the motto "More than just an island".
