Porto

  • Second biggest city in the country Área: 45 km2
  • Location: North of Portugal
  • Population: about 240 thousand inhabitants
  • Climate: temperate maritime, with a mild summer and temperatures from 15 ºC to 25 ºC, occasionally reaching 35 ºC between July and September. Autumn and winter are typically windy, rainy and cool, with temperatures from 5 ºC to 14 ºC

    This ranking covers exclusively congresses under the following criteria:
    • International congresses;
    • Congresses with regular and rotating editions;
    • Congresses with a minimum of 50 participants;
    • Congresses with a record of at least 3 editions, in 3 different countries.
  • In 2014 – over 41 national and international congresses, events and meetings supported by Associação de Turismo do Porto e Norte, AR (Porto Convention & Visitors Bureau).
