  • Porto - 43th place in the ranking of a number of business events held in 2014 in cities all over the world, by the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA).

    This ranking covers exclusively congresses under the following criteria:
    • International congresses;
    • Congresses with regular and rotating editions;
    • Congresses with a minimum of 50 participants;
    • Congresses with a record of at least 3 editions, in 3 different countries.
  • In 2014 – over 41 national and international congresses, events and meetings supported by Associação de Turismo do Porto e Norte, AR (Porto Convention & Visitors Bureau).
  • In 2014 – Porto City Council – Tourism Department’s support to business, scientific and education sectors by providing promotional materials for 268 congresses, events and meetings (mainly international technology and science sectors).
